JSON Data

Description

After going through the spreadsheet shared in class I decided to look at COVID 19 deaths by race and determine if there was any racial bias. For my sketches, I considered doing bar graphs (vertical or horizontal) and lastly people images that had various ranges of skin tones to match the ethnic group it represents. My classmates liked the last idea and I did too. I did some research on skin tones for each racial group and used Photoshop to apply gradients as accurately as possible. I had some trouble getting my json data to work so I did get to start looking at the data as early as I wanted too. I spent so much time trying to debug and waiting for DT Study to respond that I did not think about the feminist angle that much. When I finally go my program to work, I concluded that there was not any racial bias with the actual data but with the names chosen by the CDC for each racial group. I give examples in my sketch when you click on the last person. Overall, the assignment is okay. I am glad it functions but I feel like I did not delve deep enough into the feminist aspect. I am fine with getting a passing grade on this assignment because I am burnt out at this point.
